EWI’s Fundamentals of Welding Engineering
June 17 - June 21
This five-day course provides engineers and technicians with a comprehensive overview of welding technology, for which 40 CPD credits can be earned.
- Welding processes
- Welding metallurgy and weldability
- Welding design
- Testing ( mechanical testing and NDT) and qualifications
- Procedure qualification
According to Randy Dull, EWI Principal Engineer and course instructor, “Our welding fundamentals class is designed for experienced industry professionals, such as metallurgical, industrial, electrical, and mechanical engineers, who are looking for a deeper understanding of welding for their manufacturing operations. One particularly beneficial course component is our step-by-step walk-through the process of qualifying a welding procedure to meet the requirements of both ASME Boiler & Pressure Vessel Code Section IX and AWS D1.1 Structural Welding Code — Steel. We help to make this qualification process, which can be intimidating and cumbersome, more manageable for our students.”
Class size is limited to ensure that all attendees have the opportunity to interact directly with instructors.
