NCATS SBIR/STTR Funding Resources and Bioscience Company Showcase

The Ohio State University Center for Clinical and Translational Science’s (CCTS) Translational Innovation Program in partnership with G2G Consulting, BioOhio, and Rev1 Ventures invites you to a FREE Live Webinar featuring NIH National Center for Advancing Translational Sciences to share about one of the best sources of early-stage funding, the SBIR and STTR grant programs of the NIH along with agency-specific programs and resources.
NIH SBIR program is the United States’ largest seed-fund and provides up to $1M funding support to a small business in life-science. Lili Portilla from NCATS will share the basics of the funding program, funding opportunities, and tips for building a strong funding application. Dr. Rebecca Jackson, Director of CCTS will present an overview of the commercialization pathway of translation and the CCTS SBIR/STTR Accelerator program.
This year, the featured Ohio-based bioscience company and the affiliated academic inventor is Dr. Michael Freitas who will share his story about co-founding MassMatrix, a spinout from The Ohio State University, lessons learned and value of SBIR grants.
