Redefining Leadership: The Core Behaviors of Successful Leaders

July 28, 2017 @ 8:30 am - 10:30 am

Since 2015, BioOhio has hosted two full-day Women in Bioscience Conferences, and two half-day workshops, featuring speakers covering topics such as career paths, mentoring, networking, communication strategies, and success stories.

BioOhio’s goal in holding these events is to highlight numerous bioscience career options, for scientific and non-scientific jobs, along with practical concepts to advance women in the bioscience industry.

To continue this mission, BioOhio is hosting a series of breakfast workshops around the state in 2017. The goal is to highlight topics that will provide tools needed to advance into leadership positions.

First up: learning the core behaviors of successful leaders.

Redefining Leadership: The Core Behaviors of Successful Leaders

According to Google, a leader is a person who leads or commands a group, organization, or country. While there are a variety of different leadership styles, there are common traits and behaviors of successful leaders that have allowed them to be successful. Leaders are good at not only sharing their lessons learned, expertise and insights, but also at teaching others how to apply that so they don’t make the same mistakes. This panel of women have made it to the top of their organizations, and they will share which character traits have helped them become the leaders they are today.
