BioOhio takes the health and safety of our guests seriously. While future events are still planned, we are closely monitoring the public health situation in regards to COVID-19, and will act to postpone events as needed. Announcements will be made on this page and by email.

Virtual Roundtables with US Members of Congress
You are invited to join us for two virtual roundtables with US Representative Steve Stivers (OH-15) on April 15 and US Representative Brad Wenstrup (OH-2) on April 16. The Representatives will be discussing recent legislative action such as the CARES Act and how it applies to the bioscience industry, what’s coming next in Washington, how they’re keeping their constituents informed during this difficult time, and – if time permits – a Q&A session.

Diversity in Bioscience Series
May 14 – The first Diversity in Bioscience & Healthcare event of 2020 will take place virtually on May 14 at 5pm. The engaging discussion, focused on generational diversity, will include special guests Julie Kampf, CEO & Chief Possibilities Officer, JBK Associates and Jan Rosenbaum, PhD, President, CEO and CSO, Kurome Therapeutics. BioOhio is planning a year full of our fun networking socials around the state in 2020. BioOhio socials are a consistent favorite among the bioscience community because of the lasting connections made. Networking socials are always FREE! to attend and open to anyone with an interest in the bioscience community.
June 24 in Cleveland – June’s networking social will feature a C-Suite Conversation with Mike Maczuzak, CEO & Founder for SmartShape Design in Cleveland, OH. The BioOhio Patient Summit – A Journey of Innovation & Healing
August 13 in Columbus – Join us for an evening of hope and patient perspectives capped off by an elegant dinner celebrating Ohio’s bioscience community as we focus on the most important part of bioscience – its impact on patients here at home and around the world.
FDA MedTech Regulatory Forum
August in Cleveland – The BioOhio FDA MedTech Regulatory Forum assembles Ohio’s most sought after leaders in the medical device industry, including FDA Investigators, experienced regulatory experts, and innovative medical device professionals. Join us for a day of education, as we discuss current compliance standards, review possible changes in new regulations, and explore trends within the industry.
New Events for 2020!
Breakfast with BioOhio – We’ll be visiting incubators around Ohio for informational networking breakfasts. These events will be held throughout 2020 at various locations.
Entrepreneurship 101 – This event will focus on skills and resources to empower entrepreneurs to succeed in the bioscience field.
BioOhio Member Matching Luncheon – Slated for September 2020, BioOhio will bring together members and service providers to foster successul collaborations in Ohio.
MedTech Dayton – In partnership with regional organizations, BioOhio is planning a medical device focused event in the fall to showcase the medtech capabilities and community in western Ohio.
BioOhio Public Policy Networking Event
December 2020 in Columbus – BioOhio and our government relations partners, G2G Consulting and The Credo Company, invite you to join our annual end-of-year get-together for public policy committee members, government relations professionals, BioOhio members, and interested members of the bioscience community.
