Teleconference Town Halls with Legislators, Policy Makers, and Advocates

You are invited to join us for a Teleconference Town Hall with Ohio Lt. Governor Jon Husted, led by John F. Lewis Jr., President & CEO of BioOhio. Lt. Gov. Husted will discuss the administration’s efforts to reopen Ohio’s economy safely, address BioOhio members’ concerns about the future of the industry, and cover work being done by InnovateOhio. Under the leadership of Lt. Gov. Husted, InnovateOhio is advancing the DeWine Administration’s commitment to leading an aggressive, innovative path towards a better and stronger Ohio. This is a free event but space is limited – click here to register!

In discussion and Q&A, virtual town halls have covered critical topics such as the CARES Act, Payroll Protection Programs, public health orders, responsible reopening plans, and what’s coming next in Washington and Ohio.

BIO Digital 2020

The BioOhio Patient Summit – A Journey of Innovation & Healing

August 13 – Join us for an energizing event of hope and patient perspectives celebrating Ohio’s bioscience community as we focus on the most important part of bioscience – its impact on patients here at home and around the world.

FDA MedTech Regulatory Forum

August – The BioOhio FDA MedTech Regulatory Forum assembles Ohio’s most sought after leaders in the medical device industry, including FDA Investigators, experienced regulatory experts, and innovative medical device professionals. Join us for a day of education, as we discuss current compliance standards, review possible changes in new regulations, and explore trends within the industry.

Diversity in Bioscience Series

BioOhio proudly supports efforts to increase diversity and inclusion within the bioscience and healthcare industries and invites you to join us for the 2020 Diversity in Bioscience Series. These events will feature a diverse and dynamic group of speakers providing in-depth insights about their professional journeys, negotiating strategies, mentorship & sponsorship, and STEM initiatives.

New Events for 2020!

BioOhio is planning exciting new events for 2020, including:

Breakfast with BioOhio – We’ll be visiting incubators around Ohio for informational networking breakfasts. These events will be held throughout 2020 at various locations.

Entrepreneurship 101 – This event will focus on skills and resources to empower entrepreneurs to succeed in the bioscience field.

MedTech Dayton – In partnership with regional organizations, BioOhio is planning a medical device focused event in the fall to showcase the medtech capabilities and community in western Ohio.

BioOhio Public Policy Networking Event

December 2020 in Columbus – BioOhio and our government relations partners, G2G Consulting and The Credo Company, invite you to join our annual end-of-year get-together for public policy committee members, government relations professionals, BioOhio members, and interested members of the bioscience community. 

BioOhio Leadership Member Dinner

February 24-27 in Central, Southwest, and Northeast Ohio – These events connect job seekers with Ohio’s growing bioscience organizations, featuring top employers in the biotech, pharmaceutical, R&D, and medical device industries.

Diversity in Bioscience Series

May 14 – The first Diversity in Bioscience & Healthcare event of 2020 took take place virtually on May 14 at 5pm. The engaging discussion, focused on generational diversity, included special guests Julie Kampf, CEO & Chief Possibilities Officer, JBK Associates and Jan Rosenbaum, PhD, President, CEO and CSO, Kurome Therapeutics. The keynote conversation was facilitated by the talented Brooke Cartus, Director of Business Development and Senior Facilitator, ImprovEdge.
