Ohio Bioscience Advocacy Events
Upcoming Advocacy Events
Throughout BioOhio’s 30+ year history, the organization has worked with local, state and federal agencies, officials and representatives to promote Ohio’s bioscience industry, BioOhio members, and the health and prosperity of Ohio.

PhRMA – BioOhio Legislative Luncheon
BioOhio partner PhRMA and BioOhio host a legislative luncheon annually to eduate Ohio lawmakers on the value of the bioscience industry. This year’s keynote speaker Aaron Vandervelde, Managing Director of the Berkeley Research Group (BRG), will present on the new research on the supply chain’s impact on drug spending. According to a new BRG analysis, nearly 50% of total spending on brand medicines – the sum of all payments made at the pharmacy or paid on a claim to a health care provider – went to the supply chain and other entities in 2018. Registration and attendance at the Legislative Luncheon will be by invitation only. If you would like to participate, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
