BioOhio is excited to host our inaugural Women in Bioscience Conference, featuring speakers covering topics such as career paths, mentoring, networking, communication strategies, success stories, and featuring an enlightening lunch speaker.

Our goal is to highlight numerous bioscience career options, for scientific and non-scientific jobs, along with practical concepts to advance women in the bioscience industry. BioOhio has worked with a national planning committee of industry experts to help form the agenda and identify speakers.

Solo artist and a founding & touring member of the musical comedy theatre troupe, The Four Bitchin’ Babes, Sally celebrates the insanity of the ordinary and the angst of the extraordinary. Get ready to laugh when she takes the stage to deliver a humorous and engaging story of her experience facing career challenges, and how she confronted and ultimately overcame them.

1:00 – 2:00 – Communication

Topics to include various communication areas such as presentation preparation and style, building resilience, and social media strategy.

2:00 – 3:00 – Women in Finance & Venture Capital

Hear from women investors about the funding climate, and learn how minority businesses can obtain funding.
