InfinixBio, a Columbus based biotechnology company, is seeking applicants for a laboratory position as a Research Associate in the field of Cellular and Molecular Biology. A qualified application will support research and development in cancer research and infectious disease. The work requires someone who can do fundamental lab procedures independently, is eager to learn new techniques and who, in addition to performing experiments, is interested in understanding the reasons behind each experiment. This is a full time on-going position with flexible hours; days, evenings or weekends. We have two locations. One near OSU campus and one near OU campus.
Research Associate - Cellular and Molecular Biology: The successful candidate should be experienced in mammalian cell culture techniques such as growth and analysis of tumor cell lines, manipulation of peripheral blood mononuclear cells, and the use of mammalian cells for recombinant protein expression. Experience in recombinant protein expression in E. coli as well as experience in gene cloning, PCR, protein purification (gel filtration, His-tag purification, etc.) is a plus. The person should also be able to assay proteins, perform gel electrophoresis, and have experience in every day lab duties. Experience with ELISA assays is desirable.
