Cost Savings

Exclusively available to members, BioOhio savings programs save Ohio bioscience organizations millions of dollars every year. Because BioOhio is an affiliate of BIO, our members are eligible for select BIO Business Solutions savings programs. BioOhio has also negotiated special savings for members with additional vendors and service providers.

Members can take advantage of discounted event registration as well as preferred pricing from more than a dozen vendors including Airgas, ALT, Aon, Avantor, Brex, Chubb, Clean Harbors, Mercer, Nikon Instruments, ODP Business Solutions, PSC Biotech, ShareVault, TSP, UniClean, UniFirst, United Van Lines, and UPS.

Advocacy

BioOhio works with local, state, and federal agencies, officials and representatives to promote Ohio’s bioscience industry. Members can engage in government relations through the BioOhio Advocacy & Public Policy Committee, legislative-focused events, Federal Legislative Fly-ins, and roundtables with public officials.

BioOhio serves as the Ohio affiliate of national industry groups Advanced Medical Technology Association (AdvaMed), Biotechnology Innovation Organization (BIO), Medical Device and Manufacturing Association (MDMA), and Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America (PhRMA).

Industry Insights

BioOhio provides members with valuable industry information and a venue for increased awareness and visibility.

BioOhio has long been a go-to source for data on the bioscience industry in our state. Data includes statewide and regional analysis of bioscience employment, wages, new company growth, acquisitions, private investment, research funding, bioscience related graduation rates, and much more. While much of this data is summarized and published in The Ohio Bioscience Report, BioOhio members have access to additional details and materials not otherwise released.

News from members receives special highlights among industry stories on BioOhio.com and is often featured in blog posts, tweets and other social media outlets. Members also receive visibility in BioOhio publications that include The Ohio Bioscience Report, the Ohio Bioscience Directory, member list, newsletters, and other materials. Members have the opportunity to speak at, volunteer at, or host events at their facilities as well as be visible through contributions to policy letters and reports.

Events & Networking

To boost connectivity and industry education, BioOhio hosts events that provide exceptional networking and partnership-building opportunities in addition to knowledgeable and influential industry speakers. Educational and signature event topics include diversity, patients, careers & leadership, regulatory affairs, government relations, and business growth.
