The Ohio Tax Credit Authority has approved a 60 percent, 7-year tax credit to North American Science Associates (NAMSA) for the creation of $800,000 in additional payroll as part of the company’s expansion in the City of Northwood, near Toledo.

Highly regarded worldwide, NAMSA provides testing services, clinical trials, regulatory consulting and sterility assurance products to medical device clients in more than 58 countries.

The tax credit agreement requires NAMSA to maintain operations in Northwood, where the company’s world headquarters are located, for at least 10 years.

According to State of Ohio documents, the Job Creation Tax Credit is a major factor in NAMSA’s decision to expand its toxicology laboratory space in Ohio instead of overseas. NAMSA operates multiple facilities worldwide, including Asia and Europe.
